Nowadays, torrents are a great way of downloading files over the Internet. That's because downloading a torrent is much faster than downloading files using HTTP or FTP services, allowing you to use the full Internet speed offered by the service provider. There are more and more torrent sites being launched every day. Accessing these websites will allow you to download various types of files, ranging from videos to songs, images and even software and e-book. You can find virtually anything on torrent sites. But in order to be able to benefit from all this data, you will need a torrent client.

The software market is filled up with torrent clients but unfortunately, most of them aren't good enough and don't please the majority of users. Still, there is one that is good enough to be used by anyone and that's the BitComet application. Running on every Windows version, this simple torrent client can be installed using a few clicks and can run properly on any computer configuration.

When running the software, the user will be presented with a graphical interface which includes a couple of buttons. All these buttons are intuitively named, so anyone will be able to know what they do from the moment they launch the application.

All the user needs to do in order to download torrents is to browse to a preferred torrent site, click on any torrent download link and that's it. BitComet will automatically intercept the link and will ask the user where he wants to save the torrent files. Optionally, he can view all the files contained by the torrent and he can choose to download only some of them.

Regular files can be downloaded in the same manner, because BitComet is not only a torrent client but also a complete download manager, being able to capture any clicked download link. The download speed will be much greater than the one offered by the default download manager of the web browser.

BitComet includes some extra features that makes it easier and more convenient to download torrents. One of them is the possibility to shut down or put the computer into standby automatically when the download is finished. Another one is the playback feature, which allows previewing a video torrent being downloaded, allowing the user to quickly see whether the movie is worth downloading or not. Besides that, the included eMule plugin allows downloading files from the eDonkey network.

Besides downloading them, torrents can also be created using any kind of file and folder. Seeding these torrents won't be a problem even if the user is behind a router, as BitComet can automatically configure itself in order to work properly.
